Maybe you can buy the other two and let us know? :D and I'd also like to see how the Hawk stacks up. I'd love to hear from a gunsmith who has done a side by side comparing the components of the modern Remington, the Pardner. I'd wager heavily the two guns would be from different planets. They know they can coast on their reputation because the majority of people buy into the idea that once a gun is designed the manufacturer doesn't drop quality control and material components to save money. ![]() When Remington launched the 870 it was a hell of a lot better gun than it is today. and he made sure that standard was there throughout his entire career. John Browning made a great 1911 because he tooled those puppies himself before handing the first few to the army. and the precision put into fitting components. When I say by all "appearances" - I'm talking about taking the gun apart and looking at the quality of the internal components.
